How verification works
Three things happen when you scan a certificate here.
A code hidden in the QR
A phone's ordinary camera sees only this website's address. The certificate's own code is hidden in the same symbol, and only this page's scanner reads it.
Signed by the issuer
The issuer signed the certificate's details with a post-quantum signature (ML-DSA-65) when it was issued. This page checks that signature, and a fresh signed status, before showing anything.
What a match means
The details come from the issuer and have not been altered. It does not show that the paper is the original, or that the person holding it is the holder.
